On November 22, Yantai Raffles Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CIMC Group (000039), held a ceremony for hoisting the 20000-ton bridge crane "Taishan" and closing the 14,000-ton deck module of the semi-submersible oil drilling platform of COSCO. Mai Boliang, president of CIMC Group and chairman of the board of directors of Raffles, said that the successful hoisting has created a new mode of offshore engineering construction, and CIMC is full of confidence in the future prospects of Raffles. According to reports, the "Taishan" 20000-ton bridge crane, with a crane design lifting weight of 20160 tons, is currently the world's large lifting weight, large span, and large lifting height bridge lifting equipment, and it is also technically difficult in the world today. Large-scale lifting equipment, there has not been lifting equipment with a lifting weight of more than 10,000 tons at home and abroad before. "Taishan" can lift a full-load barge weighing up to 20133 tons, setting a Guinness World Record for the large lifting capacity of bridge cranes. The successful operation of this equipment has changed the traditional construction method of offshore oil drilling platforms, and realized the construction mode of parallel construction of semi-submersible platforms and one-step closing through a 20000-ton crane, so that the construction time of each semi-submersible drilling platform can be saved. 2 million man-hours, shorten the ship construction cycle by more than 30%, and improve the construction quality, production efficiency and construction safety. The semi-submersible oil drilling platform hoisted this time is the first ship of three fourth-generation semi-submersible drilling platforms built by Yantai Raffles for CNOOC (601808).
